BNR Mazdaspeed 3 MPS 3, Mazdaspeed 6 MPS 6  and CX7 Turbochargers

 

BNR Supercars specializes in the Mazdaspeed 3/6 and MPS turbochargers.  We offer stock re-manufactured turbochargers as well as 4 Stages of upgrades!  We are soon to release more options for the forged bottom end guys.  The S1 is the only 100% bolt up available for the CX7.  If you want to fit an S2-S4 on the CX7 you will need a custom oil supply line.

These engines are doing very well handling 400-450 WHP with the stock bottom end.  Most people looking for a reliable replacement over the stock smoking KO4 usually go for the S1 or S2 turbocharger models since a tune isn’t required.  If your car is fully bolted with high performance fuel pump internals we suggest an S3 with a tune.  Fully bolted with added methanol injection go with the S4 and a tune.   Stock engine internals, don’t even think about doing an S5 or S6!

Peak numbers are not what we are into.  We like designing turbocharger upgrades that produce maximum under the curve power and torque.  It makes these cars much more responsive and fun to drive on the street.  When you get greedy and go for that peak number, it kills the bottom and mid-range torque.   No bottom end torque makes the engine not as responsive for autocross/road racing and in my opinion not as fun to drive!

*Divorced down pipes do not work with our turbocharger upgrades!  If they are used, the wastegate valves will not open properly causing extreme high boost problems!*

BNR Supercars offers stock re-manufactured K04 turbochargers for the MS3, MS6, and MPS cars.  We require a K0422-881 turbocharger as a core for the MS3/6 and a K0422-582 core the CX7.  Please no Chinese turbochargers as cores!  [core document]

BNR S1 Turbocharger Upgrade

The S1 is the easiest turbocharger swap you can do.  It’s a direct bolt in capable of 40 lbs/min of air flow.  This is what you get when you order an S1!

BNR S2 Turbocharger Upgrade

The S2 has the same inlet diameter as stock (2.25”).   Only things you will need to modify is relocation of the boost control solinoid.  It’s a direct bolt in capable of 40 lbs/min of air flow.  The benefit with the S2 over the S1 is added response and mid range from the larger A/R ratio of the compressor housing and an upgraded wastegate actuator.  Peak power stays the same.  This is what you get when you order an S2!

BNR S3 Turbocharger Upgrade

The BNR S3 version 2 turbocharger has a 2.36” inlet and works with most all the aftermarket turbo inlet tubes.   All the tuners like using an aftermarket boost control solenoid with a single barbed wastegate actuator.  The S3’s compressor wheel is rated for 46 lb/min air flow.  We’ve had countless customers dyno 360-400 WHP with the S3.  The S3 will max the factory fuel system with the upgraded fuel pump internals at 360-370 WHP.  If you don’t plan on axillary methanol injection, the s3 is what you need!  Here is what you get with the S3 turbocharger upgrade!

BNR S4 Turbocharger Upgrade

 

The BNR S4 version 2 turbocharger has a 3.5” inlet and works with a 3.5” or larger intake pipe.   All the tuners like using an aftermarket boost control solenoid with a single barbed wastegate actuator.  The S4’s compressor wheel is rated for 49 lb/min air flow and is the smallest of the 76mm Garrett compressor wheels.  Our entry level 3076 is 4mm smaller on the inducer compared to the 3076 from our competition.   This is by far the most popular turbocharger on the Mazdaspeed and the MPS market!   Axillary methanol injection is needed to go higher than 370 WHP.  This unit will do up to 450 WHP without sacrificing response.  The S4 spools better than the competition’s 3076 by 500 RPM!    Here is what you get with the S4 turbocharger upgrade!
